What you should pack in your Buhi "American Dream" duffel bag the night before your next workout.


If you read my last blog post you'll know I've recently made a few changes to my nightly routine to set myself up for success the next day! One of my favorite things that has made a HUGE positive impact on my day is packing my gym bag before I go to bed so it's ready for me in the morning! 

Now, a huge part of this being helpful is making sure the items going in the bag are going to be useful for me. Luckily, my Buhi bag can fit anything I might need, so having enough for room for said items is a non-issue! If you're struggling to get a routine together or need some inspiration to get your bag packed and ready to go, read ahead! I am going to share my favorite things to bring to the gym in my Buhi bag.

  1. Workout Clothes (Duh!) - I ALWAYS pick out my outfit the night before my workout so I'm not scrambling to find my leggings in the morning. I love to put together an outfit that I know will have me feeling confident and comfortable to take on the workout ahead. Make sure you're packing EVERYTHING your body needs to wear (undergarments included!)
  2. Dry Shampoo & Brush - If you're breaking a sweat and have time to shower, bring your shampoo and conditioner of course! BUT, if you're like me and have minimal time between your last interval and clocking into work, dry shampoo is a SAVIOR! Don't forget the brush to comb it through!
  3. Deodorant - Self-explanatory! 😂
  4. Earbuds & Chargers - Everyone knows the horrible feeling of going to play your music and realizing you forgot your headphones. Packing them the night before (with their charger) will save from a silent workout and prompt you to charge them before you pack.
  5. An empty reusable water bottle - Having a water bottle ready to go in the morning will prompt you to fill it first thing and hopefully encourage you to keep up on your water intake. If you need to take any supplements, pack those at this time as well!
Now this isn't EVERYTHING I pack, but these are definitely the most important things to have, especially if you have a long work day ahead of you. I hope this list gives you a starting point for getting your bag packed and has you feeling motivated for a productive week ahead!
